Why Is Waxing Important For A Bride: All About Bridal Beauty Inside

Why Is Waxing Important For A Bride: All About Bridal Beauty Inside

Nowadays, every girl prone to waxes. It does not depend on whether she is a bride or not. Every bride-to-be is sure to opt for a waxing session before the wedding to ensure that her hands, legs and anything else she wants are nice and smooth. Keep these points in mind to make the process smoother.

Why wax?

What you need is to ensure that hair doesn’t regrow before the end of your honeymoon ideally. Waxing has a longer span and better results than any other method. It pulls the hair out from the very roots and isn’t limited to the skin level. Shaving makes the hair grow faster, thicker, and coarser. Waxing weakens hair and reduces hair growth over time. It can typically last from three to six weeks (this is subjective to each person).

Time Of Waxing

If you haven’t waxed before, you should do it first at least two to three months before to avoid any reaction taking place. Also, take the first-wax precautions like bathing with lukewarm water, applying moisturiser, or oil to soften and soothe the skin. Then you can wax regularly till your final waxing which would be two days before D-Day. If you have waxed before, then you just need to ensure that you wax two days before. This allows the skin to relax and normalise post wax before the main day.

Pre & Post Care Of Skin For Waxing

Your hair to be waxed needs to be around ¼ inch in length. If it’s too short, the wax may not effectively attach to the hair follicle. Exfoliate the areas you’re having waxed as it’s important to buff away dead skin cells to avoid clogged pores and ingrown hairs. Your last exfoliation should be at least two days before waxing. Moisturise skin properly until the day before the wax to keep the area soft. Drink enough water to keep yourself and your skin hydrated. Even after waxing, keep exfoliating your skin with a scrub that suits your skin. You can use baby oil daily to soften your skin and give it a nice supple look.

Different Types of Waxes

Legs, hands, eyebrows and facial hair waxing are the common ones most brides go for regularly. Back and full body wax is also common. The other more specific types of waxing are bikini line, deep bikini line, Brazilian, Sicilian or French Bikini wax. A bikini line wax removes hair from your panty line. A deep bikini wax is a waxing style that removes hair about two fingers in from the panty line. A full Brazilian wax takes the hair off from the vulva. A Sicilian wax is a hair removal style that leaves a triangular shape of hair in the bikini area. French Bikini Wax is similar to the Brazilian wax, except you get to keep the hair between your buttocks. Choose the one you want and are comfortable with.

About Us

SheWings is a social movement to spread awareness about menstrual health among homeless, low income women and teens. Menstruation is a natural process. However, in most parts of the country it remains a taboo and is rarely talked about. We believe that no one should go without menstrual hygiene. We are a social enterprise to break the taboo about menstruation. We don’t need to speak in ā€˜low tones’ about menstruation. Let’s make as much noise as we can!
