Today is the 70th anniversary of “World Health Day”. Like Previous years, in this year 2018 “World Health Organization” amplifies their aim to inspire, motivate and guide the “Universal Health Coverage”, stakeholders. This UHC has been achieved by WHO with the passing of times, gaining of experiences and by their great political willing force. Today, the organization WHO will surely propel a high profile cornerstone on UHC with a succession of the phenomenon through global and local conversations in order to achieve “Health For All”, slogan of this year. It is actually a momentum behind this organization to support countries because they are aiming to step forward to provide better health for all people. This organization actually ensures the people across the countries can access the facility of good quality health services without confronting any financial hardship. If countries become successful to touch the target of “Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)” which has been decided in 2015, more than one billion people still face the requirement of UHC by 2023. According to the General-Director,”No one should have to choose between death and financial hardship. No one should have to choose between buying medicine and buying food”.
Many countries make a sound investment in UHC which has emerged as a master plan in order to make progress towards other health-related development goals. Besides financial protection and essential quality care of people’s health and life expectancy, UHC is working for economic growth, gender equality, job and so many. Undoubtedly, today World Health Day will flash a spotlight on the requirements of UHC and the pros it gives.
