Beauties if you are going through Menstrual cycle follow these steps
  1. No use of artificial hygiene products

Use of perfumed shower gels, soaps is very common among the people. Using these kinds of products might be good for the body but not for your vagina. Vagina has its natural cleansing element which gets activated during menstruation. Use of artificial hygiene products may cause hindrance to the PH balance of the mucous membrane.

  1. Proper use of sanitary napkins

On the second of the menstrual cycle, most of the women witness the heavy flow of blood. In order to avoid stain, women use two sanitary napkins at a time or they place a cotton cloth over the napkin in order to absorb the heavy flow. This practice should definitely be avoided, the vagina is the most sensitive area and can get infected quickly. Do not use cloth because even if you wash it for the thousand times, it may still contain bacteria. Use one pad at a time and try to change it frequently during the days of heavy flow.

  1. Wash the pubic area in a proper direction

By seeing the word direction you need not get confuse yourself. Keeping your vagina clean during your monthly cycle is important but at the same time, you should be doing it in the proper direction. Cleaning direction should be from vagina to anus not from anus to vagina. Vagina is more sensitive than anus and you can make the bacteria present in the anus to enter vagina if you do it in the opposite direction.

About Us

About Us

About Us

SheWings is a social movement to spread awareness about menstrual health among homeless, low income women and teens. Menstruation is a natural process. However, in most parts of the country it remains a taboo and is rarely talked about. We believe that no one should go without menstrual hygiene. We are a social enterprise to break the taboo about menstruation. We don’t need to speak in ‘low tones’ about menstruation. Let’s make as much noise as we can!
