Akshay Kumar’s film Pad man, which gave the message of hygiene during menstruation, has now created another record. The pad man film is now being screened in villages and slums areas to spread awareness on menstrual hygiene.
Akshay Kumar twitted “now pad man has been screened in more than 25 cities/ Nagarpalikas/ Gram panchayats in Pune, Satara and Solapur districts, taking the number to 50,000 people”.
Pad man was released last year on 9 February. This is the story of the person who invented a low-cost sanitary pad by the self-made machine to spread awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India.
The main reason behind producing the movie was to show people the struggle that females in our country are going through. It is to show that females are missing out on general hygienic facilities like Sanitary Pads which are absolutely necessary for a woman during her period.
